SkyJump Las Vegas has the Guinness World Record for the world’s steepest commercial decelerator descent, with an official elevation of 829 feet. One lucky winner will be chosen on New Year’s Eve to throw the “ball drop” at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod at the stroke of midnight. On Thursday, Dec. 31, one winner will be selected to jump from The STRAT’s SkyJump facility at the stroke of midnight. On New Year’s Eve, the winner will receive a unique opportunity to share it with three pals.

The STRAT will be the first opportunity to see New Year’s Eve from the city’s highest vantage points, with its heart-pounding thrill rides and SkyJump attraction open to visitors from noon until 1 a.m. on Thursday, December 31st, making it the first time ever that guests may observe New Year’s Eve from this viewpoint.

From 855 feet above ground level, the SkyJump Powered by MTN DEW is an open-air controlled drop with speeds of around 40 mph. It also holds a world record for being the world’s highest commercial decelerator descent facility and has a Guinness World Record for that as well.

The winner of the “Midnight Mirror Ball” sweepstakes will get a two-night stay at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, and a one-day pass to the Midway Golf & Country Club; an invitation for four to a private party in the SkyPod tower from 9:00 p.m. until 10 pm.
